Redlun IX
Session 9
CST Series 2 Velitrium: Redlun Manor
Player: Duke, Tacit
PC: Athamar, Jacinta
Missiledine: All right you sods... When last we
met, the whole carnival had arrived, at last, in
Redlun. You are now approaching the village.
You can see a crowd
gathering to greet you (or stone you.)
Missiledine: It is late afternoon
Missiledine: The smyth will approach you
before you reach the gates
Missiledine: "Shall I introduce you, My Lord?"
Dukejr01: Athamar looks at him mildly
Dukejr01: "I think I can do that myself. But,
please, go ahead and join your neighbors and
I will address them shortly."
Missiledine: "Very well, My Lord." He will walk
briskly ahead and enter the crowd
Missiledine: There are well over a hundred
people gathered here, probabaly every
villager not with you already
Dukejr01: Athamar sees to his people first.
Missiledine: How? Are you going to ride
through the crowd?
Missiledine: and if so, to where?
Dukejr01: <he is letting the anticipation build
and letting the smith answer some questions.
a little Psy=Op action here
Dukejr01: okay. if they are all settled and
expectant,. Athamar rides up to them and
delibvers his speech.
Missiledine: ok, so where will you go. The
road ends at the gates where the crowd
awaits
Missiledine: ok
Dukejr01: He will go up to the gates. I expect
Ollyn and Miklas will be nearby
Missiledine: yep, and the rest of your troops if
you want
Dukejr01: Ollyn nad Miklas will do, unless
Ollyn insists otherwise
Dukejr01: shall I repeat the speech I sent you
here?
Missiledine: no, but the others are handy, and
ready. The twins are with you as well
Missiledine: yeah
Dukejr01: good.
Dukejr01: Athamar rides forward, and halts
before the people of Redlun drawing his
horse sidways slightlyso they can see him
better. He looks them over without
comment, waiting for them to settle down.
Dukejr01: "I am Athamar Tallenar, son of
Rathban Tallanar. My great great grandfather
was <X Havnar>. I, and my siblings Tassiter
and Danika, <nods to them,
pointing them out> are the last loyal
decendants of his line. I have been enfoefed
with the duties and responsibility of Redlun,
by theGrace of His Majesty, King
Urien.
Dukejr01: <He pauses while Ollyn calls out
"Long Live the King!" and pointedly judges
the response. Hopefully, he has reason to
smile and nod, pleased.>
Dukejr01: I understand that Redlun has
suffered neglect without a resident Lord to
oversee matters. Ican see by the state of the
village that, despite the lack of care,
the folk of Redlun are industrious and
capable. I am sure that, together, with Mitra's
blessing, Redlun will prosper.
Missiledine: When Ollyn calls, "Long Live the
King" there is a hesitant, but hearty cheer
Dukejr01: Concluding that. Athamar
Dismounts and hands his mount off to
Nordan. and Followed by Ollyn and Miklas,
goes thru the crowd, intending to meet the
notable Village heads.
Missiledine: when you are done, the smyth
calls, "Long live, Lord Athamar!" There is no
real hesitation to this cheer
tacit01: <cool>
Dukejr01: Athamar is pleased.
Missiledine: Everyone will press forawrd to
meet you, there is a babble of voices
Dukejr01: Athamar smiles cheerfully. he
raises his hands, gesturing for quiet. "I would
like to get our road weary folk settled, then
take a look around the village.
Make way."
Missiledine: Where do you want to go? The
manor house is outside the village
Dukejr01: He gestures for the wagons to
move forward.
Dukejr01: oh,. he wants to settle the people
who are staying in the village.
Missiledine: You need to turn off to your left
and fdlow the track to the manor
Dukejr01: Gallus can get the rest who are
stayin in the manor going over to the manor
Dukejr01: Athamar will go o the village first.
Greet tho other village elders and the friat
Dukejr01: friar
Missiledine: ok, there will be several minutes
of confusion. Who is staying in the village?
Dukejr01: oh. I thought we had much of that
figured out.
Missiledine: Uhmm, not in terms of specifics.
Missiledine: Accomadations in the village is
limited to the inn, until other houses are up
Dukejr01: athamars retainers and family are
in the manor for now. jacinta and the other
female merc are in the loft of the stables since
they have dogs etc.. theyhave
that to themselves unless they don't mind the
presence of another merc. the rest are in the
inn etc
Missiledine: Why don't you see what the
manor is like
Missiledine: ok
Dukejr01: Athamar will go over to meet the
village elders first, tehn check out hte manor
Missiledine: right
Dukejr01: he wants to appear like he cares
about the people/
Dukejr01: which, of course, he does
Missiledine: (Right)
Missiledine: The main ones you haven't met
are, Silas Card, your Master Vintner (Be nice
to this guy!) Friar Jol Tomkin, Brother Elias
and Master Tomas Yarling
the inn keeper
Missiledine: They are all present
Missiledine: Friar Tomkin is probably 70
years old, the Monk walks beside him all the
time
Dukejr01: He greets them all in turn politely.
Missiledine: Looking the crowd over, as you
are bombarded with names, the only person
conspicuous;ly absent is Mayree Herat... As
far as you can tell
Dukejr01: Athamar tries to takethem all in,
makes appropriate gesture/greeting/whatever
tyo the man of the cloth and tells him that he
looks forward to attending his
first service in Redlun.
Missiledine: (As a general note in regards to
awarding character points.... I will sometimes
specify skills that a point must go in, but if I
don't specify then put it where
you want.)
Dukejr01: okay
Dukejr01: allright, can you give me
descriptions of people's appearence and
attitude?
Missiledine: The old man looks pleased, and
offers up a short (thankfully) prayer of
thanksgiving and calls for a blessing on the
House of Tavanar. Everyone falls
respectfully silent for the prayer
Dukejr01: Athamar thanks him sincerely.
Missiledine: Well, everyone seems to be
wearing their best clothes. No one looks like
they were mucking stables or anything. They
look a little nervous and
uncertain, but generally happy
Dukejr01: do you mean Tallenar? or did the
firar mishear?
Dukejr01: friar
Missiledine: (I goofed)
Dukejr01: okay. would have been funny if the
Friar goofed.
Missiledine: True, but he seems pretty
intelligent to you
Dukejr01: Athamar has a few words for each
person. I can be more specific with what he
says if you want to decribe a specific person
Missiledine: The three I'm interested in are
the Vintner, the inn keeper and the friar
Dukejr01: okay. who first?
Missiledine: Vintner will approach you first.
He and the miller are actually your retainers,
they came with the manor and are attached to
your assets. (You own the
mill, we need to talk about that later)
Missiledine: In the social orde of the village,
pre Lord, he is the top of the heap
Dukejr01: Athamar looks the Vintner in the
eyes, "Ah... Master Card. I expect that we will
have much to discuss and I, for one, will be
learning a great deal about
wine."
Missiledine: Next to you, he is the wealthiest
person here
Dukejr01: yes, he is.
Missiledine: He bows, "Yes My Lord. I am
looking forward to it. Might I invite you and
your siblings to sup with me tonight?"
Missiledine: "The village has arranged a
banquet (out doors) for everyone else. Roast
mutton, beer, etc
Dukejr01: Athamar looks surprised and
pleased, "I am most pleased to accept. Thank
you."
Dukejr01: "That is a wonderful ifea. Everyone
can have a chance to meet their new
neighbors"
Dukejr01: idea
Missiledine: There are about a score of
temporary tables and benches set up on the
road infront of the tavern
Dukejr01: Athamar's opinion of the folk of
Redlun is running fairly high.....
Missiledine: The beer is courtesy Master
Yarling (Who is positively gloating over a
couple dozen thirsty soldiers living in the
area!)
Dukejr01: query: are master card's sons
nearby?
Missiledine: hanging back, but yes
Dukejr01: just curious, how many?
Docportal has left the room.
Missiledine: two Don't have names yet
Dukejr01: k.
Dukejr01: Athamr is still talking to card?
Missiledine: he and the friar are with you.
Yarling is hanging back a bit, as is the monk
Dukejr01: "One matter that we should
dispense with immediately. I am a mage. I
studied with MAster <X>. You will be seeing
some amount of spellcraft from me
in the future, and I wanted to assure you
beforethe rumours started.
Missiledine: The Friar says, "My Lord, Abbot
Solannus is expected tomorrow. He is
anxious to make your
acquaintance."
Missiledine: What happened to my font?
tacit01: different font for different characters -
cool
Missiledine: no
tacit01: <i know>
Missiledine has left the room.
Missiledine: The innkeeper is here.... no, I
think I'm ok
Dukejr01: I was wondering what kind of
reaction there was to A's stating that he was a
mage
Missiledine: thats right
Missiledine: No one blanches with fear, but
they do exchange a few glances
Dukejr01: Athamar smile "I think you will find
my spellcraft will benefit Redlun in no small
measure"
Missiledine: (It might mean higher taxes and
land rents etc, to cover the cost of your, er,
hobby.)
Missiledine: They all smile, uncertainly, at that
Missiledine: The Friar says, "My Lord,
Mayree Herat could not attend today, she is
bedridden, but she sends her greetings."
Dukejr01: athamar looks at the Friar, nods. "I
noted her absence. Do convey my thanksfor
her greeting. I hope that her condition is not
serious."
Missiledine: "It is age, My Lord. Nothing
more."
Missiledine: Tomas Yarling speaks up, "She
hasn't been out of her cottage much the last
year."
Missiledine: (The fRiar is no spring chicken
either.)
Dukejr01: Athamar nods understandingly.
"For all things Mitra has a purpose and a
time. I shall make sure to visit her when she is
feeling up to company"
Missiledine: "She would like that, My Lord."
Yarling nods
Dukejr01: "Master Yarling. The beer you have
considerately provided is much appreciated. I
will bring you more thirsty soldiers as soon as
we are able."
Missiledine: He smiles appreciatively.
"Anything I can get for you, My Lord. Just say
the word." (He has the drygoods store too.)
Dukejr01: "I am sure I will, and you will see me
Steward Gallus quite often too.
Missiledine: Gallus is lurking in the
background having organised all that is
needed
Dukejr01: Athamar introduces him. "Ah. This
is Gallus. My Family's steward and, to be
frank, my right hand."
Missiledine: Everyone will give him an
appropriate bow and greeting
Dukejr01: Has Gallus been around long
enough or does he need to be introed to
anyone in particular.
Dukejr01: ?
Missiledine: He's heard it all, or enough
anyway
Dukejr01: okay. is there anyone else that
needs meeting/greeting/gladhanding?
Missiledine: Yarling says, "Please My Lord,
will you start the festivities?" He gestures to
the refreshment table
Missiledine: no, not at the moment
Dukejr01: "Of course." Athamar strides over
and pulls himself a beer. Looks over for his
brother"Tassiter, since when have you been
shy about stuffing your face?"
Missiledine: The boy laughs and also moves
to get a drink. Everyone is watching you
expectantly (This is home brew)
Dukejr01: Athamar doesn;t hesitae. he takes
a big swallow
Missiledine: Its not bad, pretty good in fact,
tho you have had better
Missiledine: Tassiter drinks after you and
smiles appreciatively (He's young but not
totally stupid.)
Dukejr01: "My hauscarls will definitely
approve." he nods after making an
appropriate pleased sound.
Dukejr01: Athamar winks at him
Missiledine: Master Card (who also runs the
brewery,) smiles in appreciation
Missiledine: "I will open one of our best
vintages for supper, My Lord." He says
Missiledine: Once you start, everyone else will
spread out and dig in
Dukejr01: Okay. good. Athamar talks to
Gallus, sees if anything needs attending to.
Missiledine: Card says, "Perhaps My :Lord
would like to tour the manor house before it
gets too dark? We can sup afterwards."
Missiledine: Gallus says that all is in ordere
Dukejr01: "Yes." Athamar says decisively. he
walks suiting word to action
Missiledine: Carad, the Smyth and the Miller
will follow, along with Gallus, Ollyn, Miklus
(Jacinta?). Yarling will oversee the festivities.
The Friar begs off due to age
Missiledine: The Twins come too
Dukejr01: very well. sounds good.
tacit01: Jacinta will come
tacit01: sorry, was AFK
Dukejr01: of course she will....
Missiledine: Its about a half mile to the manor
from the village. Along the way you pass
Master Card's home, the winery buildings and
outbuildings.
Missiledine: They seem to be in excellent
shape
Dukejr01: Athamar looks around in interest
and comments on how tidy everthing is.
<reminds me of a Dutch township> he says
"IT shows when a folk take pride
and care."
Missiledine: When you reach the gates of the
manor you see the first real problems. The
moat is dry, the drawbridge is down and
clearly not coming up without a
total rebuild. The gates themselve are open
but off the hinges
Missiledine: "Thank you, My Lord." Master
Card says, obviously pleased
Dukejr01: "I understand the manor was
slighted."
Missiledine: The only defensive guard for the
gate is the portculus, which is propped up
with a log
Missiledine: "Yes," Answers the Miller.
"During the retreat. The Royal troops didn't
bother doing much repair work."
Dukejr01: Athamar looks at the gate with
interest and with his skil at archetecture.
Would making an Essential Stone Gate or
E-stone reinforced gate be possible?
Missiledine: Tricky. Now its made of timbers.
Stone would be very heavy
Dukejr01: yes. that is what I thought. maybe
faced with stome, or made with a
counterweight
Missiledine: maybe. Take some designing
tho
Dukejr01: thing about gates is that they not
only have to be stout, but be able to give
some too
Missiledine: true, stone doesn't give
Dukejr01: Athamar takes all this in silently,
looks at the gate for a moment or two and
moves on.
Missiledine: You can see a couple murder
holes above you as you pass through the
gate, as well as arrow slots on either side
Dukejr01: k
Missiledine: The courtyard beyond is flagged,
but the grass has grown through, along with
small bushes, and many stones are tilted and
broken
Missiledine: Some effort has been made,
recently, to cut the worst of the growth back
Dukejr01: Athamar isn;'t concerned much with
that. he can fix that quickly. he heads for the
main entrance
Missiledine: The steps up to the main doors
are also cracked, but sound. As you look
around the courtyard you realise that the two
walls are lined with arrow slots.
An intruder would have a rough time crossing
this space
Dukejr01: good. Athamar looks it all over .
visably noting that feature.
Missiledine: The doors are open, you see
some lights inside. Entering the main hall you
can see that it has been swept and cleaned
up. There is one long table, set up
on a low platform, with a mish mash of chairs
and stools. And, there are three homemade
tables with rough hewn benches provideing
seating for about thirty
Dukejr01: Athamar says. "Tassiter, Danika.
What do you see here in the courtyard?"
Missiledine: "I'm sortry my Lord," The Smyth
says. Its the best we could manage
tacit01: ? - were the sables within the wall &
gate, or outside it
Dukejr01: oops. sorry. wan't fast enough . I
was gettting coffee
Missiledine: They look around. Danika says,
"Hmm, a lot of work." Tassiter looks at the
arrow slots. "A lot of pain."
Dukejr01: Athamar grins at them. "You are
both right."
Missiledine: The big stables are outside, they
were primarily used by the Army. There is a
small stable inside
tacit01: k - thanks
Dukejr01: Athamr says to the Smith. "No
need to apologise. Frankly, I was expecting
much worse." He grins.
Dukejr01: two stables. cool. two places to
quarter people.
Missiledine: ( I need to get that plan emailed
to you two.)
Missiledine: people?
Dukejr01: yes. I lost mine. sorry
Missiledine: The small stable is only one floor
Dukejr01: yes. temporarily
Dukejr01: oh. nevermind. a hayloft isn't bad.
but not a stable floor
Dukejr01: actually, haylofts are quite
comfortable. I, personally, would prefer them
to the dubious conmforts of midevil inns, were
I thrown back in time.
Missiledine: The big stable lies between the
manor and the vineyard buildings, one of a
number of outbuildings along the road
Dukejr01: k
Missiledine: oh, I don't know. I spent man,
uhm, hours in a hay loft. Prefer beds myself
Missiledine: many
Dukejr01: lol. good man
Missiledine: Another consequence of a
misspent youth
Missiledine: Miss
Missiledine: ok, back to buisness
tacit01: we seem to have a lot of those
around here...
Missiledine: consequences?
Missiledine: None that I'm aware of, or
aknowledged
Dukejr01: misspent youths.
Missiledine: ah!
Dukejr01: or "headaches" as the case may
be
Missiledine: lol
Missiledine: Only one... he's asleep
Missiledine: From the great hall there are four
exits. Two corridors, a doorway and a door
Dukejr01: pick one at random.
Missiledine: The room also has a fireplace
and four arrow slots
Dukejr01: are there any ingravings in the
fireplace in the main hall?
Missiledine: Correction, two doors, one
doorway
Missiledine: Yes, above the fireplace is a
stone paque of the former owners coat of
arms. It has been hacked and defaced to
some degree, but is still readable
tacit01: I agree with dave
Dukejr01: hmmm... How skilled is Athamar at
stone shape. can he make a good ingraving
of his families' Coat or arms?
Missiledine: That is an artist type roll
Dukejr01: okay. athamar walks over and
looks at it, then casts Shape stone and
smoths out the stone. erasing it.
Missiledine: Spell works. Card, the smyth and
all are impressed
Missiledine: Actually, other than your family
retainers, everyone is impressed
Dukejr01: Athamar pays little attention to that.
he looks around the hall a bit. obviously
planning. then walks over to the hallway.
Missiledine: Jacinta included
Missiledine: Both hallways are basicly
identical. They go down 30 feet +/- and end in
double doors. Along the way there arethree
other doors, two on the
courtyard side and one on the other
Dukejr01: he looks in each doorway as he
passes it
Dukejr01: Has anyone been quartered here
yet?
Missiledine: There is only one open doorway,
it has steps leading up
Missiledine: no
Dukejr01: okay. he opens each doo in turn.
looks in.
Missiledine: You are the first inside. Gallus
organised who goes where, but had them eat
first
Dukejr01: okay. makes sense.
Missiledine: The doors off the main hall: One
opens into a 10' x 10' room with steps going
down. The door itself is heavy, massive oak
and iron and has a key lock
Missiledine: Master Card hurries forward,
"Here My Lord, these are yours." Its a ring of
keys
Dukejr01: Athamar takes them. "Oh, yes. very
good."
Dukejr01: I think we can skip the dungeon for
now. Athamr will tour the living quarters and
defenses first
Missiledine: The other door is of iron, or is
iron faced, hard to tell. Its very thick and
heavy. It also has a key lock. It opens into a
30'x30' square chamber (The door
cuts out part of the corner) the room has 6
arrow loops a fireplace and an alcove. Inside
the door can be barred and bolted
Dukejr01: if the light is poor, Athamar takes
out his con't light
Missiledine: Good idea
Missiledine: This was some type of strong
room. Master Card says, "Before the round
tower was built, this was the main keep."
Dukejr01: "Ah." Athamar nods. he steps in
and looks out the loops, orienting himself.
Dukejr01: he looks in the alcove briefly. and
moves on.
Missiledine: Procedeing down the hallway:
The first door on your left opens into an odd
shaped room It should be a 20'x 20' room, but
one corner is cut off at an
angle. There is a loop there that opens on to
the steps up to the front door. All 1st fllor
loops have iron shutters on the inside.
Missiledine: The second door on the left
opens into a 10'x 20' room with 1 loop
Missiledine: The door on the right opens into
a 20x 20 room with loop and fireplace
Dukejr01: plenty of room in these rooms. how
do they feel? damp? musty? dry?
Missiledine: These loops and the ones in the
strong room open out to the back of the
manor or to the river side
Dukejr01: okay., I wondered.
Missiledine: Damp, like an unheated stone
building, but seem dry enough
Missiledine: The fireplaces are all laid with
logs
Missiledine: but un lit
Dukejr01: good.
Dukejr01: Athamar is pretty pleased with
everything so far. he makes few comments.
just getting the feel of his new home.
Missiledine: The double doors open into a 20
x 50 room, with fireplace and three loops
Dukejr01: Athamar walks in. looking around.
what was thing place?
Missiledine: Hard to say, may have been a
library or something similar
Dukejr01: Athamar looks around. "What was
this room?"
Missiledine: By the way, the great hall, or
enterance hall, is 50' x 50' less a bit for the cut
of the main doors
Dukejr01: This is a fairly big manor. Unless all
archetecture in Velitrium is built to this scale
Missiledine: Everyone shakes their heads.
They are all too youing to remeber what this
place was like in its hey day
Dukejr01: Athamar shrugs. "Good place for a
library. I think."
Dukejr01: He walks back. goes up the stairs.
Missiledine: Its not that big really, probably
15,000 square feet interior (all three levels)
Missiledine: The other hallway?
Dukejr01: okay. we will finish this level first
Missiledine: The three small rooms are the
same as the other side, but in the big room at
the end there is a difference
Dukejr01: <I am so excited>
Dukejr01: :-)
Missiledine: In the corner is built a massive
iron door which is closed. There are arroew
loops here, one that opens outside and two
that point INTO this room
Missiledine: There is no fireplace
Missiledine: This is the only way into the
round tower
Dukejr01: hmmm.... neat. Athamar goes over
to the door.
Dukejr01: opens it. is it locked?
Missiledine: its closed and locked. The key
hole is large, and only one key looks likely.
The Smyth says, "My Lord. Uhmm, no one
has been in there for a very long
time. It hasn't been cleaned."
Dukejr01: Athamar shrugs. "A mystery to
explore at a later time then." He makes sure it
is locked.
Missiledine: All the rooms you've seen have
been swept but have little or no furniture
Missiledine: it is
Dukejr01: okay. back to the hall and up the
stairs.
Dukejr01: where is the kitchen?
Missiledine: Actually, the main kitchen is in a
low shed building along one wall of the
courtyard, across from the stable...
Dukejr01: okay
Missiledine: In the old days, there would have
been a covered walk running along the outer
wall to allow food to be brought in. Its
something you might want to
address in the future
Dukejr01: I was think along those same line.
yes
Missiledine: the roof is gone from the walk
way, but you can see where it was attached.
Missiledine: Ok, going upstairs: The steps
are narrow but straight
Dukejr01: okay. good. I would have fixed
broken stairs immediately
Missiledine: At the top is a large landing
areawith two double doors visible and two
corridors, one leaving at an angle
Missiledine: The steps are stone, as is the
floor upstairs. But the interior walls are wood
a wattle (Clay over woven branches) making
them light but also movable if
you want to change the layout
Dukejr01: okay. Doors first
Missiledine: the doubles in front of you open
into a large room, 30 x 50. There are three
windows opening to the courtyard and the
corner wall is curved towards
you with three loops facing you. Its the second
floor of the round tower
Dukejr01: any fireplace?
Missiledine: GM Error (Rare!) the other
visible door is a single, not a double
Missiledine: Yes
Dukejr01: lol
Missiledine: one inward loop is above the
fireplace
Dukejr01: that is neat
Dukejr01: other door
Missiledine: other door: Opens into an interior
room (no loops) that is 20 x 40
Missiledine: There is a fireplace
Dukejr01: okay. corridor the the right
Missiledine: Goes back about 40 feet ends in
another iron door. This will be the second
floor of the old keep. On your right are several
loops looking over the river.
On your left, about thirty feet down is another
single door
Dukejr01: door to left first. then second floor
of keep
Missiledine: Room is 20 x 40, another door in
the far wall. Fireplace, two exterior loops
Missiledine: Door to 2nd floor of old keep is
locked
Dukejr01: unlock it. poke my head in.
Missiledine: The smyth shrugs apologeticly
Missiledine: Same dimensions and
description as before
Dukejr01: k.
Dukejr01: relock it.
Dukejr01: okay. where haven;t we been?
Missiledine: Angle corridor other door in the
second to last room
Dukejr01: ah yes. lets take a look
Missiledine: at?
Dukejr01: the angle corridor.
Missiledine: ok, as you turn the corner the wall
to your left overlooks the courtyard and the
loops here are larger, actually windows. There
are wooden shutters
inside. (All the loops that pass through the
outer walls on the second floor are true loops,
but those that over look the courtyard are
window type.)
Dukejr01: okay.
Missiledine: You notice two trap doors set in
the floor of the corrider. Ollyn pulls one open.
Its a set of murder holes over the doors into
the great hall
Dukejr01: "That would disconcert the
unwelcome"
Missiledine: Past these the corrider turns right
(The angle was to accomadate the muder
holes) and looking down this forty foot
corrider you see a door on the left
and one on the right that you guess is that
other door you saw in the one room
Dukejr01: I see. Athamar looks in it anyway.
Missiledine: its the door you thought
Dukejr01: then goes to the other door.
Missiledine: This opens into what was
probably the Master Bedroom. Its 40 x 40 +/-
has a fireplace, alcove and four loops
(exterior) and four windows to the
courtyard
Missiledine: Again, all the rooms you have
seen have been swept but are bare of f
urniture. Al the fireplaces have logs laid but
unlit
Dukejr01: Athamar walks in here. looks out
the windows, maybe he can buld a balcony....
hmmm...
Dukejr01: "Have you decided what rooms you
two want?" Athamar looks at his sibs.
Missiledine: "This one and the one over by
the tower"
Dukejr01: Athamar laughs.
Missiledine: you asked
Missiledine: You may need to rearrange the
walls up here
Dukejr01: I figured
Dukejr01: "Well, A lot of work needs to be
done, but I am most pleased with what has
been accomplished.... and I have worked up
an appitite."
Missiledine: Master Card says, "There is a
large pile of old furniture in the lower level. We
did not want to disturb it. Some of it may yet
be usable."
Missiledine: One note, the room (2nd floor)
that attaches to the round tower, has a leak in
the roof
Dukejr01: Athamr nods "That can wait"
Missiledine: You make your way back
outside. It is nearly dark. The smyth tells you
that there is fodder and straw in the stables
(both) since they didn't know how
many horses you'd bring
Dukejr01: Athamar nods.
Missiledine: Gallus says to you that he has
arranged for Lord Boma's troops to eat at the
village and leave in the morning. He would
like to give them a parting gift
Missiledine: ($)
Dukejr01: Good idea. make sure they get
some wine. and whatever he think
appropriate.
Missiledine: ($10) each and all the beer etc
they can drink
Dukejr01: that works
Missiledine: Well guys, its 1 am here. I'd like
to call it. Sorry I'm bugging out early
Dukejr01: okay. night
tacit01: no prob - I gotta get up early
tomorrow, anyway
tacit01: thanks for running us
Missiledine: Uhm, don't we all. No. wait, some
of us don't
Missiledine: My pleasure
